Circular 02 - 23-24 TO : ALL LUXIANS FROM : OFFICE OF THE VICE-PRINCIPAL SUBJECT : ADMINISTRATION OF INSTITUTIONALIZED EXAMINATIONS DATE : September 25, 2023 ___________________________________________________ ADMINISTRATION OF INSTITUTIONALIZED EXAMINATIONS Assessment plays a crucial role in the teaching and learning process. It is integral for understanding student learning and development through the qualitative and quantitative data it provides. An indispensable component of the assessment process is the administration of institutionalized examinations. Their structured nature facilitates not only the measurement of content standards and learning competencies but also the identification of specific skills that need remediation. There will be three (3) types of institutionalized examination beginning Academic Year 2023-2024 to ensure that learners’ progress is monitored: (1) Assessment of Competencies and Essential (ACE); (2) Quarterly Examination (QE); and (3) Semestral Achievement Test (SAT). Schedule of each examination is stipulated in the Academic Calendar and can be found in the Luxian’s Handbook. Should there be changes in the schedule, an announcement will be made a week before the set date of test administration. To provide Luxians ample time to prepare for every scheduled examination, Advisement Day will be observed on the day before the administration of each test. The schedule to be followed on Advisement Days will be given by the respective adviser. Widest dissemination of this circular is desired. (Sgd.) Jimmy E. Esporas, LPT Vice-Principa
